There are debates about whether people should be leaving New York due to it being highly crowded in this pandemic. In my opinion, people leaving New York to go settle to the country is selfish because it does not consider other people and their health. The people that are leaving can very well carry the virus without knowing and putting other’s lives at risk in the country. Also, if a lot of New Yorkers decide to pick up and leave to the country side, they are going to go overcrowd the hospitals over there too. There are possibilities of them distributing the virus while getting groceries in the new place they have settled, which shows irresponsibility. They shouldn’t see it as saving themselves by escaping New York but should see it as putting the lives of the people in the country in danger. Therefore, I disagree with people leaving New York to go settle in the country.
